What would we do in this day and age without the Internet?? In today’s world the Internet has gained a lot of importance and most people can’t survive even a day without it. With social networking sites springing up everywhere, the Internet is helping people keep in touch with friends and family as well as get in touch with people they know.

In the early 90's and earlier, there was no problem going anywhere without getting connected. Nowadays, if you leave your handphone at home, it is like losing a limb. The world is getting smaller and borderless.

This blog was created basically to keep in touch with old friends. The motto of this blog sums it all up- 'where we share together the joy, sorrow, hardship, elation, ecstasy, happiness, jubilation, bliss and euphoria of growing up with the surrounding comfort of new friends from diverse backgrounds.

Through all these, we bonded together but over time, the bond had loosened, or even broken, as each went their separate ways. Now, in our twilight years, this blog is an attempt to rebuild the bridge.'

I have received many comments in this blog from former and anonymous friends, especially after a certain nostalgic article. It seems many alumni of SMSJ bumped into this blog when they search some information about their former school. Some leave their comments after a certain writeup.

Reading new comments in Blog's past writeup is not that easy. Owners of Blogs will know what i mean. Some leave their email address and hand phone numbers in the comment section of a certain writeup. Only after reviewing past comments will i be able to pickup the new addresses of friends, and that will take months, or when i feel like doing it; which ever comes first.

Anyhow, i have a few discussions with some old friends and we decided to have a database of friends in this blog. Off course with many people connected to Facebook, Blogs are getting ancient. Facebook has it's role but nothing beats the old Blog when you need to penned up some long thoughts. Blogs are also easier to read and maintain.

During the recent Annual Dinner at Tiara Golf Resort on the 23rd of April 2011, there was a festive mood among the 80's batch. We can see that they were so happy meeting fellow Sajohans among their batch. In term of attendance, there were only a handful from batch 1975 and 1976.

For batch MCE 1975, i have the hand phone number of everyone except Chuah Meng Poh. The numbers from the other '75 classes are few. If we can contact other friends in batch '75, I am sure more will attend the next gathering in a year's time, insyallah.

Salam Saudara Z,

Had been reading some of the interesting articles u had posted on the blog... they sure brought back nostalgic memories of the days we spent at SMSJ, which are now long gone.

Anyway, i thought that i'd send u a photo of me for the 'Dulu dan Sekarang' section... as i haven't seen/met up with many from the Class of 1975 Sajohans, since we left school more than 35 years ago!

As for me, i am doing fine - i am now a lady of leisure after my retirement, and i do keep in touch via email occasionally with a few former classmates of mine like Hamzah, Rashid and Rahmah but have lost contact with the others.

There are those who would like all Malays absorbed into just one political party for the sake of ‘Malay unity’ -- and so on and so forth. But all these people overlook one important thing -- and that is the quality of life in Malaysia and what your Ringgit can buy.

The average price of houses in the UK is roughly RM700,000. This is based on the nation-wide house prices although in some instances you could be looking at millions depending on locality and type of house. But a ‘working man’ would need to fork out RM500,000-600,000 for a decent British home, unless you live in London.

The minimum wage is now about RM30 per hour (based on a rate of exchange of 5:1). This will be going up in October. Yet the British complain that this minimum wage just can’t meet the cost of living.

In Malaysia there is no minimum wage. In spite of the campaign by the opposition and civil society movements since the 1990s, the government still refuses to set a minimum wage. Today, the minimum wage has to be at least RM1,800 per month to make it possible for Malaysians to live a decent life.

In the UK, the lower-rung income earners bring in about RM4,500-5,500 per month. A skilled worker earns about RM8,000-10,000 per month. The higher-income bracket earns about RM15,000-25,000 per month. Of course, with overtime thrown in, most hourly-waged employees can see an additional RM2,000-3,000 per month.

But what is the cost of living in the UK?

You would need to set aside about RM2,500 per month either for house rental or for your housing loan repayments, unless you are living in a council house. Your utilities and groceries would take away another RM2,500 per month, at the most. So about RM5,000 per month is gone just to survive. But if both husband and wife (or housemate/civil partner) work, then the cost sharing makes it very affordable (two can live cheaper than one).

Now compare this to Malaysia. Can we say the same for the Malaysian worker? A full cart of groceries in Malaysia will cost you about RM500-600. It costs only RM300-400 for a full cart of groceries in the UK. But the salaries in the UK are eight to ten times higher than in Malaysia.

The basic pay for a security guard in Malaysia is about RM800 per month. In the UK, the basic pay for a security guard is about RM8,000. The Malaysian security guard can’t survive on RM800 per month. The UK security guard needs only RM5,000 per month to survive.

Anyway, I have written about this many times before. And this is what Malaysians need to focus on -- not on whether it is right to wear certain football jerseys.

Minimum wage to rise by 2%: but increase dwarfed by inflation

The minimum wage for adults in the UK will increase to £5.93 in October, a rise of 13p, or 2%, the government has announced. The change is the result of a recommendation by the Low Pay Commission, which has been rubber-stamped by the government.

Working adults are not the only beneficiaries of the increase - 21 year olds will now receive at least the full adult minimum wage, whereas only people aged over 22 years were previously eligible.

Also unveiled were smaller percentage increases to the minimum wages for other age brackets - 18-20 year olds get 9p extra, while 16 and 17 year olds earning the minimum wage will enjoy 7p more. Furthermore, a minimum wage for apprentices has also been implemented.

The changes were well received by the TUC, it said: "The minimum wage has been a great success, and if this announcement means that this is an area that will see continuity rather than change it will win wide support."

This is in spite of the percentage rise of 2% falling well below that stipulated by the retail price index of inflation, an indicator of pay rises, which for May was as high as 5.1%

Edward Davey, Minister for Employment Relations, claimed that the rise "will strike a balance between helping the lowest paid whilst at the same time not jeopardising their employment."

The rise in the national minimum wage was however incongruous with the "London Living Wage", which rose by over a percent more to £7.85. Mayor of London Boris Johnson underlined that the increase was necessary to give people ample incentive to work.

What is the Average Salary in the UK?

While there are several different factors that contribute to an employees’ salary, the average salary in the UK is considered to be £25,800 for full-time employees in the United Kingdom. This number is available from the Annual Survey of Hours and Earning report issues in November, 2009, by Office of National Statistics in the United Kingdom. Those who are employed are being paid better, but there are fewer jobs for people to get. According to the report, the average salary increase of around 2.8 percent for those working in the public sector, and only 0.8 percent in the private sector. The private sector is estimated at losing over 2,000 jobs daily in the UK.

The Best Salaries in the UK

Sure, we know that Chief Executives and Directors make the most in the UK, but what are some of the other high average salary jobs in the UK. Since the report by the Office of National Statistics, covered around 300 different professions, we can easily examine what the highest paying jobs are, what the lowest are, and where those in the middle fall. Here are the best salary jobs in the UK.

* Medical Practitioner and other Health Professionals - This job is high paying in almost every country you visit. The health care field is one of the highest paid fields in the UK, with average salaries ranging between £60,866 and £78,366.

* Senior Officials and Corporate Managers - Highly similar to the Chief Executives, only in a reduced function, Senior Officials and Corporate Manages make an average salary of between £85,000 and £86,000 a year.

* Brokers - Brokers help people to buy and sell stocks, futures, bonds, and other types of investment options. The average salary of a Broker in the UK is around £61,117, but it is not stated if this includes commissions and bonuses.

* Government Figures - While this may seem like commonplace, the senior officials in National Government make around £68,283 in the UK.

The Worst Salaries in the UK

Like in most countries, the service industry typically pulls in the worst annual salary, and the UK is not different. While it is already known that waiters and waitresses pull in the worst annual salary, who else is at the bottom of the Office of National Statistic's report? Let's take a look at the four worst paying jobs in the UK.

* Bar Staff - This can include bar backs, dishwashers, bartenders, and bar maids. Their average salary is around £12,184, but it does not say whether or not this includes any gratuity they may get through the job.

* Tour and Travel Guides - This includes people who offer guided tours of historic areas to tourists and visitors and those who help to make arrangements for those staying in the UK. This job, while it does sound like fun to many, only has an average salary of around £23,561.

* Hairdressers - Hairdressers and those in a related or highly similar position make an average salary of around £13,194. This is about the average, since many in this type of career does make some type of gratuity.

Assalamualaikum

Aaaah...at least I am drawing somebody's attention. It is very true with this modern days we need a better approach in Islamic study...the high tech what so ever. I have seen lectures of tasauf Al hikam ibni Ataillah being made into series of lectures by Ustaz Agm, an Indonesian scholar. It was shown in TV8 few years ago during the fasting month half an hour before breaking of fast. It would be easy for a person who has some basic tasauf to understand the lecture but to the normal layman it would be confusing. I guess ilmu tasauf was not meant to be dramatised in such a way.

We have people making the slot 'Arrival' to make the people aware the danger of zionis. Baba Ali making his hilarious slot to remind the muslims in case they forget. In years to come Islamic approach will be done via the media but again I am sceptical about ilmu tasauf. It stress much on 'adab' of getting the ilmu. Few years back there is a controversial issue high lighted by the Islamic scholars regarding the semi circle type of lecture hall in University Al Azhar. They prefer the halaqah or the complete circle system of lecture hall. There must be a reason to this controversy.

You can find a lot of Gurus teaching fekah and tauhid but when it comes to tajwid the scope becomes narrowed. Even worse to find taranum Gurus teaching via television... it is ineffective. Taranum is an art where you have to learn from a Guru face to face. Ask Keno about it. I think she knows what I mean. Tasauf is a different story altogether. It is difficult to find the Guru, worse still to invite him to make series of lectures via television except for Ustaz Agm. This people shy away from the limelight. Tasauf is an art, psychology and more to it. You have to be in it to understand what it is all about. Time is always the barrier to everything especially when deen is concern. That is why I am giving you all a crash course to find a Guru.

Let me relate you what I have passed through back those days in 1980's. Friends, it is not my intention to boast about myself but rather to give you all a guide if it is applicable. Remember the story which I told you all about in search of a Guru? It all started way back in 1981. After confronting with a lot of fraud Gurus and mursyids, I some sault of give up... walk on water, fly like a bird and all those nonsense. Some how I always thought that religious people could do all those things...how naive. Either than that all shows were considered as magic @ sihir.

I was in Beranang, one day, in search of a friend's house when I coincidently met a few people going for maghrib prayers at a certain Haji's house. I joined in the maghrib prayers which later on held a majlis ilmu. The Guru has a very strong charismatic aura and the students too were a bunch of smiling group. Since it is free for all, I started attending the classes every Monday and Saturday. Mind you, I have to travel all the way from Port Dickson to Beranang which took me almost one and half hours those days. Either than good companionship shown by the group, I found out that what the Guru taught was very hard to comprehend.

After almost a year plus, one day the Guru called me aside and told me that he could not take me as his student. He was sad and felt sorry for me because he was wasting my time. You are still young...make solat hajat, insyaallah you will find one Guru which suits you. I am no superman...I shed tears too when I left him. Back in PD I did what was instructed by him...that was after a few months later. To cut things short...I met my Guru in Malacca. One fine day I relate the story of that Haji to my Guru. My Guru laughed aloud and said ... 'Haji Ibrahim tu mengajar budak - budak Universiti. Kau budak tadika macam mana dia nak ngajar kau.'

Only then did I know that Guru too has their own level. The world of the mursyids is small. Basically they know each other. I met Tuan Guru Haji Ibrahim later on, that was five years later during Hari Raya. The first question that came out from his mouth was...'Dah pandai menulis ke?' Tuan Guru Haji Ibrahim was the very few guru who could teach hard core tasauf, bayan and mantik...the Guru of jalan hakikat. Kitab Daru Nafis was banned in year 2003 in Negeri Sembilan for reason no one was able to deliver the ilmu. Application for the ban was done by Tuan Guru Haji Abdullah Sijang himself... the only Guru known in Negeri Sembilan to hold such majlis ilmu on that kitab. There are other few kitabs which will follow suit. One is the pocket size kitab Ahzab used mostly by Tarikat Naqsabandi and Ahmadiah.

It would be good to attend majlis ilmu in masjid or madrasah but it will take time. If I ask you which will you prefer if you are pursuing an oil painting course...a. a mass lecture or b. a group study of twenty person. a or b? Whom would you want your lecturer to be? a. an appointed staff whom you do not know or b. an appointed staff who knows you. a or b? The most sensible answer should be ... b. I am not talking about dakwah as the matter is secondary. I am talking about you and me. Why? A Guru once said to me ...' satu hari besok para - para mursyid tak duduk lagi di kampung - kampung atau di hutan - hutan tapi di HUTAN BATU. (bandar)

I think this is very obvious, right? Look at the masjid in the kampung. At times, in a day there is hardly any jemaah prayers. I have attended a subuh prayer in one of the mosque in Kajang...the jemaah consists of 8 safs of 30 person per line. Still small in numbers but encouraging. The people in the hutan batu are you all. Professional people with the brains. Arip Kasmo already paved the way contributing for the muslim community. I am more concern about individual enhancement. I guess my part is merely to encourage you all to seek Islamic knowledge and to realise that what we know about Islam is merely the tip of an iceberg...there is more to it.

For those who heed my advise in search of a Guru...if you have found one then hold fast to him. By the way, do you all know that the Guru of wali songo is Ali Akbar? A blackman from Hadrat Maut. He used to flog his students with a whip on a slightest mistake done. He was the head of matriculation, if there is such a title, before sending the students to Mekah for further Islamic studies. One more thing...upon reading Sulatus Salitin and a few books on the saintly people, I concluded that Shiekh Jenar was from Malacca...maybe from Jonker street...pergh.

Salam everybody,

Firstly, I have to tip my hat to Tok Mat for the good reunion job. I
humbly apologize for not being there. I had explained my reasons to
Zai.

Secondly, Zai with the photos you posted at the blog, it did flooded
my old memories. I would like to jot some of the memories concerning
three of our friends that have left us..Rashid(5M1), Sulaiman (5M2)
and Ahmad Aban(5E2) and our form teacher- Mrs Tan to lighten out
everybody….especially the recent topics at our emails on Religious
Sifu.

The late Rashid was a reserved and handsome guy that usually hang out
with Paimin, Daud and Azmi group. He did dropped by at my dorm once a
while to chat with Roslan Adam and Ahmad Othman(Damtho). As you all
know I was a mischievous guy back then, and the late Rashid used to
join me for the smoking session or jumped the school
fence..aka..”cabut malam” to go outing to Kluang town.

In fact, during our days at SMSJ I was caned three times by Cik Gu Rahman Karim, and
twice was with Rashid. Once was for smoking..we were caught red handed
at the famous Ice Cream Parlour in Kluang town(cannot recalled the
name), and once for having our defiance to cut our hairs ..for the
defiance, we were caned at the library in front of our juniors (1977
batch). The juniors were at the library since they have done their
LCE/SRP exam. Punishment for the smoking was done at the vice
principal office, Cik Gu Ibrahim and after that we went berserk at the
toilet (ground floor toilet opposite the science lab). We broke one
wash basin and messed up the toilet doors, and the next day Mrs Tan
called me up and had a motherly/big sisterly words with me.(the story
is below).

One of memorable things that I did with Rashid was to hitch-hike from
Kluang to Melaka. We get a ride from two Chinese guys who look like
gangster that when we reached my house at Muar I decided not to
alight , and accompanied Rashid all the way to Melaka town worrying
for his safety. If I am not mistaken Rashid was from Masjid Tanah.
The late Sulaiman started messing-up with me only during the last few
months of our Form Five year and after I decided not to hang out with
the late Ahmad Aban. Sulaiman did not smoke cigarettes, and the
mischievous deed I usually done with him especially during the third
school term was to skip the late noon class, went over the fence and
have our lunch at Mamak stall near the biscuit factory at the main
road to Air hitam or just shooting the breeze. Then at about 3 pm
when everybody were having their prep time, we jumped back into the
school compound.

The late Ahmad Aban was a close buddy of mine since form four. We were
like Lone Ranger and Tonto or Batman and Robin..cannot be separated. I
did a lot of mischievous deeds with him. Usually when we “cabut malam”
we ended having our sleep at his house at Revertex Estate which is
nearby our school. Only his father was at home since his mother has
passed away and his younger brother was at boarding school in
Seremban(SDAR). Normally, his friend give us a ride on a motorbike
back to SMSJ in the early morning. The late Ahmad Aban and I decided
not to hang out together during the second term of our Form Five year
after I had Mrs Tan’s motherly words. We decided to split because
whenever we are together we ended doing some stupid things instead of
studying. I did regret of that decision b’cos he was lost without me
and did not get a good result for MCE. After coming back from USA, I
tried to meet him few times but he kept avoiding me. He was at that
time working at Port Klang as Insurance Cargo surveyor. Then few years
later due to works and family commitments I lost contact with him.
Mrs Tan, our biology and form teacher is a dedicated and soft spoken
teacher. After my canning and the toilet fiasco, Mrs Tan pulled me to
her office at the Biology lab. I was expecting a solid scolding from
her instead we have a quite a long and productive talk. She did psyche
me out. The conversation is somewhat like this.

Mrs Tan: Saabana, Why are you here?
Me: Maybe, to get a scolding.
Mrs Tan: No, what I mean was why are you at this school, SMSJ?
Me: The Education Department sent me here.(a dump answer actually)
Mrs Tan:Does the Education Department just pick anybody or every body?
Me: I guess not, we are chosen.

From that on, Mrs Tan explained to me the responsibility to be a
chosen student. She told me, we have an obligation to our self, the
family and the country to do the best. She did asked me what is my
target for the MCE. I just replied that I am just aiming to get
through. She scolded me for not aiming higher because she saw me that
I could do better than what everybody expected about me. I did
promised her to concentrate on my study and cut my recalcitrant
activities. After the meeting, I had a friendly talk with Ahmad Aban
and we decided not to hang out together anymore to lessen our urge and
motivation to do some stupid things.

However, during the last night/day of our form five year at SMSJ, me
with Ahmad Aban, Sulaiman and two other guys(both 5 M2) did a
mischievous or maybe devilish/ hideous job. I guess it was an almost
an unthinkable sort of things done by school boys.

You guys still remembered after our last MCE papers-Add Maths 2, we
were all ready to pack and headed home but we were delayed as Cik Gu
Rahman instructed us to be in our dorm for an inspection. The delay
and inspection were because of me and the four guys acting without our
sane brains. At that time, five of us have no opportunity to say how
deeply sorry we are. So after 35 years, on behalf of the
guys…especially for the two that have left us ….Please forgive us.
So..actually what we have done? I could not write it here…

Assalamualaikum

I guess there is not a single day in my life hoping and yearning to be there in Mekah and Madinah. With this current take home pay and family commitment...I don't think I will be able to save enough money to go anywhere. My life chart is like the yo-yo swing. I have been at the top and I guess the biggest sin might be owing a mercedes car to show off to everybody during my young age. My lowest might be having a pay of RM5 per day. Since hardship in life is part of khazanah di Lauh Mahfuz and we are forbidden to disclose it to the public, I guess you have to accept what I am telling you is the truth.

You might ask me how I manage to pull through raising a family with that pay? My answer is...I don't know. There is always people helping from every where and at times it is embarrassing...damn bloody ego. So what did I get in return from all this for the better and worse? I guess a better understanding of god ways. In life it is crucial for us to understand god and not the other way round. It will be foolish to assume that god does not know what we need...the creator of all things. Yet that is the case.

In our doa we tend to plead to the extend of dictating what we want. God is no santa claus or Alladin's genie. If he gave, he has given it for a cause and if he denied your doa, that too was done for a cause. Any which way your doa has been answered. Prophet Ibrahim's doa was answered eighty years later. Prophet Noh's doa was answered two hundred years later...pergh. The point is we have to understand god. How? Of course through ILMU. As Zai said...we are currently using the subsidy part of our life...yet we are tossing here and there sober searching for contentment.

Prayers was only done as a normal ritual in Islamic life...nothing more or less. There is no feel in prayers after years of praying or any ibadah for that matter. So what went wrong? Yep... we have done all those things without knowledge or ILMU. Our Malay ulamak clearly define knowledge as .... ILMU itu mampu menjaga seseorang itu daripada maksiat sedangkang PENGETAHUAN itu tidak. Hmm...it looks like the same right? Wrong... We have two student pursuing the same course in Islamic knowledge in a University. Both obtained a degree...one gets ILMU and the other gets KNOWLEDGE. So how to draw a line between these two? Of course the intention or niat.

Look at the article posted by Zai. What a mockery... Tidakkah puncak ugama itu adalah akhlak / budi perkerti yang mulia? There is no sense in the argument at all if just for a miserable passion for driving. Even worse still a stupid dumb dumb who denied the rights of the ladies just for the sake of ego. There is a hadis refraining women from driving and I sincerely think the person concerned should revolved the argument around that hadis rather than putting the matter into a deeper shit.

Talking about ILMU...first of all you have to have a GURU...a MURSHID that can carve a better you and show you the way. Read about all the saintly person from books and you will noticed that all of them have GURU. I am trying to give you a crash course to find a GURU as I think life for us all now is too short. Remember Yut was once a tutor to Tahir? I bet Yut was trying her level best to make Tahir the best student in her class...down loading all her knowlegde into Tahir's brain. Once too many I guess it did cross her mind to give Tahir a tight slap for not understanding the subject in which to her was just chicken feed.

The feelings is the same here except for giving all those tight slaps. The primary concern is for you all to get that tutor or guru. First make a HAJAT prayer and recites selawat as many as you can asking god for a guru. It saves alot of trouble of travelling here and there, going up and down the mountains just to search for a guru. You will get malaria in the worst scenario. So just do the solat and wait. There are alot of kitabs to be read and learned from these gurus that normal religious teacher cannot teach you.

The fekah's books and the tauhid's books are a requirement for everybody. Don't let anybody fooled you on that issue. The books that you should really concentrate are the tasauf books. I have the fortune to 'khatam' the mild tasauf book AL Hikam twice. Once with Tuan Guru Haji Abdullah Sijang which took me six years and the second time with Ustaz Dzulkefli AL Bakri which took me almost three years. There alot of hard core tasauf books such as Darul Nafis, Kasyiful Asrar, Baharul Ulum etc.etc. These three books each took me sixteen years or more to 'khatam'...pergh. The weird arabic language translated to weird Malay language was painstakingly explained by the guru...word for word.

I can remember walking off from kitab Darul Nafis study back those days as I taught the explaination given by the guru was crazy. The difficult part in tasauf is to interpret what you learn to be apply in your everyday life. It maybe difficult to comprehend the subject and it is even difficult to apply it in you everyday life. That is the reason you see that some people attending the same tasauf subject over and over again. I have met an elderly who has 'khatam' certain books for six and seven times. But friend.. I believe, with your brain I bet you all can comprehend better. So...I have spent a long time studying far ahead than you. Does that mean I am better if you all started later? No...the rate of understanding ILMU totally lies in God.

For what purpose is all this brain bashing study for? To attain esteem character...Is it so important? Yes...the primary reason why Prophet Mohamad was sent to us. Allah has the highest esteem character and no one can enter into his court without an esteem character.

Mrs Tan was with us for about a year but she left a deep mark on our hearts. I remember she had to cover many biology syllabus in record time as she was expecting her first child, a few weeks before MCE. I was never interested in that subject (except for the birds and the bees!) but got good grades because of her. She was transferred to Penang, accompanying her husband, who is a doctor. Mrs Tan is a very good graduate teacher from Australia. I remember that some of us love Biology because of her.

There were many 'embarrassing and blushing' moments for gals when she touches the subject on sex, reproduction system, the birds and the bees etc etc. Of course most of us boys love the topic and there were many group discussions about it later on ! I am sure we are all experts on this subject by now ! She even warned us beforehand when teaching the Darwin theory, that it was just a theory.

I think most of us scored good grades in this Biology subject. The last we heard she migrated to Australia and she must be in her mid 50's by now. Anybody knows her full name? Maybe we can do a search and try to track her.

Welcome home kawan kawan yang baru pulang dari Umrah, semuga semua doa dimakbulkan Allah dan ibadat yang diterima. Saya nak sentuh sikit bab beli kurma ni. Orang Malaysia, Indonesia dan Singapore memang terkenal bila beli korma, sebab jenis lain jarang ditengok kecuali AJWA. Jemaah bangsa lain memang jarang beli AJWA ni sebab mahal tapi orang kita beli berkilo kilo untuk dibawa pulang. Kawan kawan dan sanak saudara pun pesan korma AJWA sahaja. Dari dulu, saya masih ingat harganya hanya disekitar 40-50 SR sekilo sahaja tapi sekarang dah naik 2x ganda. Ni lah penangan bila orang Malaysia berebut rebut nak bawa balik AJWA.

Ramai yang beli AJWA sebab depa kata ianya kesukaan Rasululah SAW, jadi nak ambil berkat bila makan ajwa dalam bilangan yang ganjil. Walhal sunnah sunnah rasulullah saw yang lain banyak yang kita tak ikut! Solat berjemaah, berpuasa sunnat isnin khamis, berhenti makan sebelum kenyang, dan lain lain. Tok Arab pula ambil kesempatan untuk menekan harga bila demand exceed supply. Saya rasa elok kalau sesiapa yang nak beli ajwa, belilah secara alah kadar aje, cukup untuk buat merasa dan bukan untuk dihadiahkan kepada sahabat dan saudara mara. Banyak lagi korma yang lazat tapi harganya murah saperti safawi, Anbar( kesukaan saya sebab liat dan manis), rotab, sabaka, sukari dll.

Kalau Allah beri kita rezki yang lebih, pada pendapat saya memang elok ketanah suci sekali setahun mengerjakan umrah. Disana kita boleh menumpukan tenaga dan fikiran kita untuk beribadah kepada Allah setiap masa selama seminggu dua. Bukan nya diMalaysia kita tak boleh buat penumpuan kepada ibadah, tetapi terlalu banyak distraction disekitar.

Di Mekah dan Madinah, bangun tidor celik mata saja kita dah ingat ke Masjid atau buat umrah dan lain lain perkara adalah secondary. Hidup kita disana revolve around prayers, dan kita tak ingat lain hanya tumpuan kepada ibadat sahaja. Lagi pun, ditanah suci banyak tempat tempat makbullah saperti multazam dan Raudah, insyallah Allah ampunkan semua dosa dosa kita yang terkumpul sepanjang tahun dan kita boleh start dengan a new leaf!!

Lagi pun umur kita dah masuk setengah abad, dan zaman sekarang saya kira apabila dah melebihi 50, sudah masuk umur subsidi. Kalau dulu melebihi 63 dikira bonus, tapi sekarang dapat hidup melepasi 50 pun dah alhamdulillah. Tapi ramai pula apabila mencecah 50, masa tulah hidup baru nak mula. Ada yang lagi serabut, ada yang dah stable, ada yang bertambah kaya, ada yang bertambah masalah, ada yang nak kuatkan agama, ada yang nak tambah isteri dan ada yang diberi tanggung jawab yang lebih dalam tugasan.

Walhal sebenarnya tambahan umur tu hanya ujian and everything else is just a mirage and an illusion, untuk mengalihkan perhatian kita dari kematian dan alam barzakh yang pasti akan datang.

Kalau sesiapa yang nak ke Umrah atau Haji jangan lupa baca buku ALI SHARIATI (The Hajj), page by page dan fahamkan kandungan isi dan message nya. Jangan pergi kosong (hanya tahu rukun fardhu ain dan ritual sahaja saperti apa yang diajar oleh Tabung Haji) tapi tak tahu pengertian haji yang sebenar, dan insyallah akan dapat haji yang mabrur. Perintah Allah Kepada Manusia

Allah s.w.t. sentiasa memerintahkan manusia untuk memerhati, mengkaji dan meneliti alam ini. Al-Quran yang mengandungi 6236 ayat itu sebahagiannya merupakan ayat yang memerintahkan manusia memerhatikan alam. Apabila manusia membuat kajian secara sistematik, umpamanya memerhati atau mencerap, kemudian berfikir (untuk memahami apa yang diperhatikan atau yang dicerap, inilah proses sains! Al-Quran tidak terpisah dari sains. Allah s.w.t. berfirman dalam surah Fatir 27

Dalam Surah fatir ayat 38

Dan demikian pula di antara manusia dan binatang-binatang yang melata serta binatang-binatang ternak, ada yang berlainan jenis dan warnanya? Sebenarnya yang menaruh bimbang dan takut (melanggar perintah) Allah dari kalangan hamba-hambaNya hanyalah orang-orang yang berilmu. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kuasa, lagi Maha Pengampun.

因此男人和检索中的动物和牲畜，他们的各种颜色。那些真正害怕真主，除他的仆人，谁拥有知识：为真主是上人在魔法门，经常宽恕

Al-Quran mengandungi banyak pernyataan yang bersifat saintifik. Antaranya ialah dalam bidang kosmologi, astronomi, geologi, meterologi, biologi, embriologi, oceanografi, anatomi, sejarah dan sebagainya. Sekiranya ayat-ayat-ayat yang berkaitan dengan pernyataan saintifik itu dikaji maka kita akan dapat melihat kebenaran Quran.

Kosmologi

Kosmologi adalah satu bidang ilmu yang membahaskan tentang kejadian alam semesta, bagaimana ia terbentu, apa yang berlaku pada alam ini dan apa yang akan berlaku kepada alam ini. Allah s.w.t. berfirman dalam Surah al-Anbiya ayat 30.

Apakah Penemuan Sains Tentang Kejadian Alam Semesta

Ahli kosmologi mengemukakan satu teori yang mereka namakan sebagai 'Teori Big Bang'. Semua ahli kosmologi sepakat mengatakan bahawa alam semesta bermula dari satu unit kemudian ia terpisah melalui satu letupan dan kesan letupan tersebut berbilion-bilion galaksi terbentuk. Ahli kosmologi juga mengatakan bahawa benda hidup bermula dari air. Pembaca boleh menyaksikan video yang dikepilkan dalam laman web ini. Kalau pembaca meneliti video ini, seolah-olah ahli kosmologi menghayati al-Quran.

Dalam ayat 30 Surah al-Anbiyya perkataan 'ratq' bermaksud satu unit dan 'fatq' bermaksud dipisahan. Al-Quran menjelaskan bagaimana alam ini terjadi kepada manusia, manusia adalah makhluk yang menghuni bumi. Sebab itulah al-Quran mengatakan langit dan bumi. Manusia menghuni bumi!.

Mengapa pula perkataan 'samawat' yang berbentuk jama' digunakan dalam ayat ini. Perkataan sama' yang bermaksud langit, jama'nya ialah samawat. Sama' dalam bahasa Arab adalah umumumnya semua benda yang berada di atas, ini termasuk bintang, galaksi, nebula, super nova dan sebagainya. Ada yang namanya jelas disebut dalam al-Quran seperti bulan (Qamar), bintang (nujum atau najm), matahari, buruj dan lain-lain. Apabila al-Quran menggunakan perkataan 'samawat' mungkin maksudnya ialah segala yang di atas (alam ini sendiri, galaksi, nebula, bintang, planet dan lain-lain) ini semuannya berasal dari satu unit. Cuba lihat ayat 47 Surah Zariyat.

Dan langit Kami bangunkan dengan kkuasaan Kami dan kmilah yang menjadikannya semakin besar.

Perkataan sama' adalah dalam bentuk tunggal (mufrad), berbanding dengan samawat (dalam bentuk jama'). Dalam konteks kosmologi, alam semesta ini sahaja yang menjadi semakin lama semakin besar saiznya kerana daya tolakan yang begitu besar pada asalnya menyebabkan galaksi-galaksi bergerak laju arah keluar dari asalannya sedangkan galaksi itu sendiri tidak bertambah saiiznya begitu juga dengan sistem solar juga tidak bertambah besar saiznya. Hanya alam semesta sahaja yang menjadi bertambah besar saiznya. Mungkin ini sebabnya mengapa 'langit' dalam konteks pengembangan alam semesta disebut dengan kata jama' yang bermaksud, pelbagai langit yang ada dalam alam semesta sedangkan dalam ayat 47 surah Zariyat ia disebut dengan kata mufrad atau singular untuk merujuk kepada alam semesta sahaja. Allah a'lam. Untuk memahaminya sila lihat blog yang di atas muka surat ini.

Apa Kesudahan Alam Ini

Menurut mereka yang membaca ayat Allah yang manzuroh, iaitu ahli sains, seluruh alam ini akhirnya akan musnah dengan cara pengecutan besa (dinamakan sebagai The Big Crunch). Mengapakah alam semesta ini mengecut atau mengalami The Big Crunch? Menurut pengkaji, daya tolakan yang menyebabkan alam ini mengembang semakin lama semakin lemah dan akhirnya akan terhenti sama sekali. Maksudnya galaksi-galaksi semakin lama semakin perlahan pecutannya ke arah luar dan semakin lama semakin perlahan pergerakannya keluar dan akhirnya terhenti. Menurut Hukum Mekanik Newton, apabila galaksi-galaksi ini ini tidak lagi bergerak, ia akan mula menarik antara satu sama lain dan alam ini akhirnya akan mengecut. Cuba lihat ayat ini, iaitu ayat 104 Surah al-Anbia. Satu perkara yang menarik dalam ayat ini ialah ayat ini berada dalam suarah al-Anbiya yang juga menceritakan tentang asal-usul kejadian alam semesta.

Pada Hari Qiayamah Kami akan gulung langit seperti mengulung lembaran-lembaran kertas pada buku sebagaimana Kami memulakan kejadian asalnya Kami akam mengulanginya sesungguhnya Kami akan melaksanakan janji itu.

Ayat ini menjelaskan akhir alam ini akan dikecutkan atau digulung seperti awal permulaan kejadiannya. Meariknya dalam ayat ini, langit (sama') juga disebut dalam bentuk mufrad (singular). Maksudnya seluruh alam ini akan kecut pada Hari Qiyamah nanti. Ikuti penjelasan seterusnya

KALIMAH ALLAH DAN MUHAMMAD
.

Sekiranya koordinat-koordinat (titik-titik yang mewakili kedudukan surah dan bilangan ayat) dicantumkan, kelihatan kalimah Allah terbentuk. Apabila kordinat-kordinat ini cantumkan dengan cara yang lain, maka kalimah Muhammad pula terbentuk!

Apa akan jadi kalau kedudukan surah berubah?

Sekiranya kedudukan surah diubah secara sesuka hati, maka graf kalimah Allah dan Muhammad ini akan runtuh sama sekali. Ini menunjukkan bahawa susunan al-Quran tidak boleh diubah! Sayugia diingatkan bahawa semasa al-Quran diturunkan 1400 tahun yang lalu kertas graf belum wujud! bahkan seperti yang telah saya nyatakan sebelum ini, sistem nombor pun belum wujud!

Kehebatan dan kecanggihan susunan surah-surah al-Quran boleh jiga disaksikan apabila kita membuat analisis keatas nombor-nombor surah dan jumlah ayat bagi setiap surah. Sekiranya kita campurkan nombor-nombor surah al-Quran, iaitu (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+8+10+..+..+..+... hingga +114 (nombor surah terakhir) jumlah campuran tersebut ialah 6555. Sekiranya dicampurkan semua ayat al-Quran (dari surah pertama hingga surah ke-114, iaitu surah terakhir) jumlahnya ialah 6236.

Surah-surah al-Quran dan jumlah ayatnya boleh dikategorikan kepada Nombor surah yang ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil. Nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap. Sebagai contoh nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil ialah surah al-Fatehah. Surah ini surah nombor 1 dan bilangan ayatnya 7. Satu contoh lagi ialah surah Hood iaitu surah 11 bilangan ayatnya ialah 123. Nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap pula sebagai contoh ialah surah ke 3 iaitu surah ali-Imran yang mempunyai bilangan ayat 200. Satu lagi contoh ialah surah ke-5 iaitu surah al-Maidah yang mempunyai bilangan ayat 200 ayat. Satu kategori lagi ialah nombor surah genap yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil dan nombor surah genap yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap. Sebagai contoh surah surah ke-6 iaitu surah al-An'am mempunyai 165 ayat dan surah ke-2 iaitu surah al-Baqarah yang mempunyai bilangan ayat 286 ayat. Sekiranya surah-surah ini dikategorikan kepada sama jenis dan berlainan jenis umpamanya kategori sama jenis ialah (nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil dan nombor surah genap yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap) jumlah semua surah dalam kategori ini ialah 57 surah, sementara satu kategori lagi ialah kategori berlainan jenis iaitu surah yang mempunyai nombor genap yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil dan nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap, jumlah surah dalam kategori ini juga ialah 57 surah. Ini menunjukkan perimbangan surah-surah al-Quran!. Susunan yang lain tidak akan menghasilkan perimbangan. Sekiranya semua nombor yang terkandung dalam kategori sama jenis termasuk semua nombor surah dan jumlah ayat dicampurkan, jumlahnya ialah 6236 iaitu sama dengan campuran semua ayat al-Quran, mengapa jumlahnya boleh sama dengan jumlah campuran semua ayat al-Quran? dan apabila semua nombor yang terdapat dalam kategori berlainan jenis dicampurkan termasuk npmbor-nombor surah, jumlahnya ialah 6555, mengapa jumlahnya sama dengan mencampurkan semua nombor surah?. Jumlahnya sama kerana susunan surah-surah tersebut. Sekiranya susunan surah dan bilangan ayat diubah, maka perimbangan ini akan musnah sama sekalui. Quran tak boleh diubah! Para pembaca boleh menyemak sombor surah dan bilangan ayat tersebut dalam laman web yang tertera di atas sebelah kanan muka suat ini.

Persoalan-Persoalan Menarik!

Bagaimana susunan surah-surah al-Quran boleh seimbang antara jumlah campuran nombor-nombor surah dengan campuran surah-surah dalam kategori yang tidak sama jenisdan bagaimana jumlah campuran semua ayat al-Quran sama dengan campuran surah-surah dalam kategori sama jenis sedangkan pada masa itu belum wujud lagi sistem nombor? PASTI INI SEBAGAI BUKTI MAHABIJAKSANANYA ALLAH S.W.T. DAN MAHA MENGIRANYA ALLAH S.W.T.

Keseimbangan Yang Lain

Sekiranya nombor surah dicampurkan dengan bilangan ayatnya, umpamanya surah al-Fatehah adalah surah 1 dan bilangan ayatnya 7 (1+7=8), surah al-Baqarah surah 2 dicampurkan dengan bilangan ayatnya (2+286=288) dan seterusnya sehingga surah terakhir surah ke-144 iaitu surah an-Nas bilangan ayatnya 6 (114+6=120). Sekiranya jumlah campuran antara nombor surah dengan bilangan ayat yang jumlahnya ganjil dicampurkan semuanya, jumlahnya ialah 6555 iaitu sama dengan jumlah campuran semua nombor surah. Dan sekiranya jumlah campuran antara nombor surah dan bilangan ayat yang jumlahnya genap dicampurkan semuanya, jumlahnya ialah 6236 iaitu sama dengan jumlah ayat al-Quran. Sekiranya diubah kedudukan surah maka jumlah ini tidak akan dapat dihasilkan.

Keseimbangan Ini Lebih Menakjubkan!

Sekiranya nombor-nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil dicampurkan sekali, jumlahnya ialah 1551. Nombor-nombor surah tersebut adalah seperti berikut. 1, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 25, 27, 29, 33, 35, 39, 43, 45, 57, 63, 81, 87, 91, 93, 97, 101, 103, 105, 107, 111, 113. Pembaca boleh gunakan mesin kira untuk mengiranya, tapi cuba bayangkan zaman Nabi dimana sistem angka belum ada. Jumlah campuran nombor-nombor surah ini ialah 1551. Sekarang campurkan pula nombor surah genap yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil. Nombor-nombor surah tersebut ialah: 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, 26, 36, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 60, 62, 76, 82, 84, 86, 92, 96, 100, 104, 108, 110. Jumlah campuran nombor-nombor surah ini ialah 1554. Sekarang campurkan jumlah campuran nombor surah ganjil yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil (1551) dengan jumlah campuran nombor surah genap yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil. (1554). (1551+1554=3105). Sekarang kira berapa banyak nombor-nombor surah tersebut? Nombor-nombor surah adalah 54 semuanya. Berapa pula bilangan surah dalam al-Quran? Bilangannya ialah 114. Lihat formula ini:

Bilangan surah yang mempunyai bilangan ayat ganjil (54), bilangan surah dalam al-Quran ialah 114. Jumlah campuran 3105= 54 / 2 X (114 +1)=27 X 115. Sekiranya susunan nombor surah ini diubah sesuka hati seeperti yang dicadangkan oleh orientalis Barat, maka jumlahnya tidak boleh disesuaikan dengan formula (jumlah surah/2 X Bilangan surah al-Quran +1).

Sekiranya nombor-nombor surah yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap pula dicampurkan, jumlahnya ialah 3450. 3450= (Bilangan surah yang mempunyai bilangan ayat genap)/2 X (Bilangan surah al-Quran +1)=60/2 X (114 +1)=30 X 115.

Ada sesiapa yang boleh menolak ini sebagai satu yang menakjubkan. Ingat semasa al-Quran diturunkan, sistem nombor belum wujud!.

Can anybody refute this as an amazing phenomena. Bear in mind that there were no number system when the Quran was revealed!

What a night. Everything went smoothly, my praise and admiration to Tok Mad and gang who made the malam amal smsj a successful and memorable one. Zainal Alam the compere, in his usual chatty self, perform the role perfectly with many remarks of a bygone days. Importantly, we got the Rm 300,000 for the surau.

Rugi siapa yang tak datang, walhal kebanyakan rakan tinggal disekitar Kuala Lumpur. Puas saya menalifon, tapi hanya 6 rakan 5E1 yang hadir Ghizan, brahim, nordin, keyno, faridah) . Yang lagi teruk 5E2, yang datang hanya Arip Kasmo dan Hamzah Harith. Dari 5M, yang hadir Dr Adib, Dr Omar Emran. Dr Ibrahim Mokti, Md Shah, Idris Takyan dan Paimin Kasimon. Dari form 6, ada mimi, hassan adly dan rosli. Surprisingly, Nordin came all the way from Segamat while Azman, yang promised to come, tak nampak batang hidung!. Batch 77, 78 dan 79 yang memenuhi kebanyakan meja. Unsurprisingly because 5 years of their life were there in SMSJ and the affiliation and bondage to the school and friends were still very strong.

I have not met many of them since our SMSJ days. That is more than 35 years ago, a very very long time. I brought group pictures taken in 1974 and 1975, just in case i have forgotten their faces. Juniors came to our table to introduce themselves, and we have to ask them to pinpoint their faces in the old pictures. Gosh, they are all nearly 47 to 48 years young now, and from the pictures they were barely 12 or 13!. Of course many have grown big, i.e sideways and we would not have recognised them if we were to meet on the streets.

Without me knowing, my second brother Zainal(77, now GM proton), my sister in law Salmah(79, teacher), third brother Zulkiflee(80, Consultant) came too. My fourth brother Zaidi (81,Architect) was away on a business trip to Japan. So, including me the four of us were from SMSJ including one sister in law. Surprisingly Cikgu Jalil was there too. Ex students crowded him and he seems to enjoy the limelight that night.

Nordin called me earlier and ask me whether we need to dress up for the occasion? I told him to wear our form five clothing! Hehe. Nordin is still cool as a cucumber, only the white moustache gave away his age. After 35 years, he seems to be fit and still slim as ever.

I take my hat off to Nora and Faridah as both are single mothers who have kids on tow. I know it is not easy to manage a household with kids to bring up single handedly. Nora is slimmer than her form five days, even after having five kids! Would you like to share your secrets with us? Faridah is now staying in kampong melayu subang and does not commute from Malacca anymore. She still cannot remember many classmates so we have to jog her memories!

Dr Adib brought her sporting husband that night. Actually we did not realised Adib because of the tudung, but once when we were comfortable, the chit chatting goes non stop. Nice to see you, Adib and you still look the same as in 1975, and thanks for the form five M2 photo that I have been searching high and low! Dr Omar Emran now is working in Ampang doing alternative treatments. Dr Ibrahim Mokti, embraced me when we met, he is an orthopedic surgeon working in JB and he does not look a day over 30? I have met Idris Takyan and Paimin before but meeting Md Shah was very unexpected. We were staying in the same dorm in 1974 and I am glad he has done well in life and working as a computer analyst in Pos Malaysia.

The junior girls keep on coming to meet Nora and Faridah, and my goodness, most have all gone big!! I have some pictures of them which i will post later. Cikgu Hamzah (former HM) was there too and probably he is in his 60's.

The luckiest guy must be Prof Ghizan, as he won a 3 day four person trip to Bali in the lucky draw. Just imagine, out of the 600 attendees, the Timbalan Menteri pick up his number!!! If you need a friend to accompany you to Bali, I am always available !!!

Prof Ghizan and Prof Ibrahim our 12 year Dekan Pharmacy Faculty UKM is still as affable, as pleasant and as friendly as before. I am sure one day they would helm their respective university. Kak Mimi, our form six sister was there too. The years have been kind to her and she still look young.

Saya masih mencari gambar kelas foto 5M1 dan 5M2. Alhamdulillah terima kasih kepada Hamzah Harith kerana memberi saya gambar 5E2. Puas saya menalifon kawan kawan untuk mendapat gambar tersebut. Ada yang dah dimakan anai anai, terbakar, rosak kerana banjir, dikoyak rabak oleh anak kecil, hilang semasa berpindah rumah, dibuang suami/isteri kerana jeles(hehe!), dan bermacam macam alasan lain.

Tetapi ramai lagi yang saya belum telefon dan saya rasa ada yang masih menyimpan nya dengan baik, dibaluti dengan kain kuning, malahan mungkin yang mengasapnya dengan kemenyan setiap jumaat!!

Semua kelihatan segak macam panglima mastor bergambar dihadapan Dewan Besar SMSJ. Saya rasa ramai mat mat macho 5E1/E2/M1/M2 yang menyertai persatuan silat. Cikgu Aishah pun ada. Yang nampak paling garang ialah Arip Kasmo (belakang, 6 dari kiri). Semasa gambar diambil, kita diarah supaya jangan senyum dan nampak serius. Hehe those were the days.....

Cikgu Jalil is an interesting character, you either love him or loathe him. Students like him intensely or not at all, impressed by his self effacing charm, or put off by a brashness bordering on arrogance. Students will always look up to their master and in SMSJ, the teachers were our masters. Most teachers in SMSJ were single and fresh graduates from the University. As their work includes extracurricular activities, intermingling with fellow students were the norm.

Cikgu Jalil teaches Geography in a unique way. I'd be lying if i say i do not like his way of teaching. Who can forget when he ask us fifth formers to do a case study on the socio-economy of our kampong during our term break?. That was the last term break, a few months before the MCE 1975 exams. Me and Mat Ridza had to interview farmers, fishermen, and even policemen? We went to the Balai to get information on the number of death, detainees, reports and what not. We went to see the Penghulu and interviewed him. Finally we got the case study done, bind it and submit to him on time. Being barely 17, it was a proud moment when we completed the mini thesis. I think Dato' Mat ridza can testify to that.

Cikgu Jalil insisted we include the case study that we have done when answering the geography exam papers. I did that, and most probably the examiner who corrected my papers, either think I am bonkers or a genius!! Heck, i scored A1 in Geography!.

Being single and virile!! ( yes, studies have shown that bald men produce more testosterone hormones and so are more virile), he is not short of admirers. When we were all 17, you'll notice that the girls were more mature than the boys. You will notice that with your kids too. What I am trying to say, the girls were more mature in trying to find love while the boys were just kidding and playing around.

Some teacher treat certain girl with extra preferential treatment, and the girl cave-in due to her teenage vulnerabilities and emotional brittleness. I will not duel on this issue/incident, as it is a well kept 35 year open secret!. Let the story comes from the horses mouth. It has become a bone of contention for some friends!

Cikgu Jalil became a lecturer in UPSI since then and now he is retired. I met him once in Low Yat Plaza a few years back and he still recognised me after all this years.

Semua derma yang tidak diketahui Pendermanya akan dinamakan derma dari Hamba Allah.

Untuk mendapatkan resit derma, tolong email maklumat berikut sekiranya derma telah dimasukkan ke dalam akaun Bank Islam secara terus atau hantar maklumat bersama cek yang dikirim kepada ahli jawatankuasa:

nama penuh untuk ditulis di atas resit (individu, syarikat atau penama)
alamat surat menyurat
jumlah sumbangan
tarikh deposit
waktu deposit
nombor rujukan
batch SMSJ (jika berkenaan)

Maklumat di atas boleh diemail kepada mana-mana ahli jawatankuasa di bawah:

i. Haizad Ibrahim; atau

ii. Noraini Mohd Yusof

Nota: Pasukan Jawatankuasa sedang dalam proses memohon status pengecualian cukai derma Surau Al-Ihsan daripada LHDN.

Semua pelajar SMSJ menunaikan solat berjemaah lima waktu, solat terawih dan berbagai aktiviti agama Islam di Surau Al-Ihsan.

Ruang solat Surau Al-Ihsan perlu dibesarkan kerana jumlah pelajar SMSJ yang semakin bertambah, daripada 450 orang pada tahun 2009 ke 750 orang pada tahun 2011:

In conjunction with the coming Malam Amal SMSJ 2010, I am posting again this group photos taken circa 1974. I hope those in the pictures can make it to this once in a life time gathering of all batches from 1974 to the present time. I am sure the youngest boy/gal in the picture is now about 45 years old and the oldest about 53 years young.! How fast time flies!

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Y.Berhormat / Y.Bhg Dato’ / Datin / Dr. / Tuan /Puan,

PELAWAAN MENYERTAI MAJLIS MAKAN MALAM AMAL UNTUK DANA PENDIDIKAN DAN KEROHANIAN SEKOLAH MENENGAH SAINS JOHOR (SMSJ)

Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa perkara di atas adalah dirujuk.

2. Buat pengetahuan pihak Y.Berhormat / Y.Bhg Dato’ / Datin / Dr. / Tuan / Puan, SAJOHA merupakan persatuan Alumni bekas penuntut Sekolah Menengah Sains Johor, Kluang. Di atas saranan kerajaan agar persatuan-persatuan Alumni memikul tanggungjawab membantu kerajaan membangunkan sekolah samada dari sudut infrastruktur mahupun modal insan, pihak SAJOHA ingin bersama-sama memikul tanggungjawab ini.

3. Antara projek yang kami rancangkan ialah pembesaran dan pembaikan surau sekolah. Ia bertujuan agar dapat memberikan suasana yang kondusif bagi penjanaan pembentukan modal insan tersebut. Walaubagaimanapun, projek sedemikian memerlukan dana ratusan ribu ringgit. Justeru itu, kami ingin mempelawa pihak Y.Berhormat / Y.Bhg Dato’ / Datin / Dr. / Tuan / Puan, untuk menyertai projek amal ini.

4. Bagi merealisasikan cita-cita tersebut, salah satu program yang pihak SAJOHA rangkakan ialah Majlis Makan Malam Amal Dana Pendidikan dan Kerohanian SMSJ. Sehubungan dengan itu, dengan rasa berbesar hati kami ingin mempelawa pihak Y.Berhormat / Y.Bhg Dato’ / Datin / Dr. / Tuan / Puan, terlibat sama dengan usaha pengumpulan dana ini dan menjayakan Majlis Makan Malam Amal tersebut. Butiran majlis adalah seperti berikut:-
